It’s hard to understand professionals who don’t like to be proven wrong, or even worse, won’t admit when they are wrong. Personally, I love to be proven wrong, and I am always willing to be the first to admit when I am wrong. Here is why…
If you can’t prove me wrong, then I know my idea is that much stronger. And if you can prove me wrong, I know my idea was never right in the first place, and you just saved me from believing in a wrong idea any longer.
Discouraging people to prove you wrong, and being unwilling to admit when you are wrong is irrational and unprofessional, which are two qualities you never want to exhibit in the business world.
So, please, go ahead and prove me wrong whenever you can. Start with this post, even. I would greatly appreciate it.
